Who Participates in Healing Touch?
Anyone interested in developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of healing work using energy based concepts. Healing Touch participants come from all backgrounds and ages, and it is not necessary to be in the health care field. People have used Healing Touch for a variety of ailments from the most simple to the most complex.  Healing Touch can be given to people of all ages. Many people use it before and after surgery, for cancer treatments and as part of self care. Healing Touch is a positive complement to traditional medicine and health care.

History of the Program
Healing Touch was developed by Janet Mentgen RN, BSN who has been practicing energy based care since 1980 in Denver, CO.  The Program began as the HT certificate program sponsored through AHNA in 1990 and became AHNA certified in 1993.   In 1996 Healing Touch International, Inc. became the certifying authority with AHNA endorsement. CHNA also endorses the program. The Healing Touch certificate program is now taught throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands with workshops planned in several other countries.
