Dear Healing Touch for Animals® Friends:
Healing Touch for Animals® wishes
to extend heart-felt thoughts and prayers to the family, friends
and colleagues of Janet Mentgen. Janet was a great supporter of
HTA and she is honored during the HTA workshops each time we teach
the energetics of animals. Janet’s great love of animals was
evident when her beaming smile appeared as HTA stories were shared
with her.
Healing Touch for Animals® was
born at the Merritt Center in Payson, AZ during a Healing Touch,
Level III-B (Level 5) in 1995. Janet Mentgen was the instructor
and Carol Komitor was the mentor for that HT workshop. Many
participants wanted to know more about the animal’s energy system
and how to work with animals using our energy techniques and as
Janet deferred the questions to Carol, we decided to present a
demo later that afternoon.
During the afternoon break, we borrowed a
horse in the pasture across the road from the Merritt Center.
Carol taught the energetic awareness of animals, demonstrating the
chakra system and energy field of the little horse. The ah-ha’s
and enthusiasm of the students was remarkable and the awareness of
how the animal teaching could be presented flowed so easily that
Carol knew she would be teaching others the energetics of our
animal friends. HTA was born and Janet Mentgen witnessed its
birth.
Janet has been a wonderful supporter of HTA
from the conception. She embraced the animal kingdom and loved to
hear the many stories of the animal healers. Janet’s own healing
process was supported by her beloved “Sandy” and “Belle”, the
family canines, who stayed by her side during her illness. The
two dogs helped to provide joy and sustained her during her last
days with us and Janet recognized their contribution to her
healing.
Janet Mentgen is honored as her vision is
held to “spread healing light worldwide”. Janet was a
teacher, colleague and friend and we know her vision will continue
through each of us who help another to heal, including the
animals.
